The first time I did a bracelet it was the candy stripe bracelet and I started to notice that it started curling up. It was a while ago but I'm still curious as to why it curled up.

the knot structure of a candy stripe makes it do that. because all the knots are moving in one direction, it makes it curl

The bracelet can become too light. Due to that the bracelet can curl so try to change the way you knot. That might help

just the structure of the bracelet! if you really want to fix it you can use a hair straightener to make it flat again but if it dosent matter that might be a lot of work! ☺️

That used to happen to me a lot. I figured out that if you don’t tighten your knots AS tight then the bracelet will be less likely to curl up.

it probably curls because of either knot tension or just the way a candy stripe is made. when making candy stripes or patterns like the candy stripe, the knots only go in one direction which pulls the bracelet to one side, causing it to curl. your knot tension is also a major factor. if your knots are too tight then it will be stiff and probably curl. i would recommend loosening your knots if you do not want it to curl that much!

It is not your fault it is just the way the knots are, but you can just put tape in the finished parts so that it doesn't curl as much. 🙂🙂🙂

Candy stripes curl up for me as well. Most likely because of the structure. However, if you don’t like that you could try to advance to alphas or other thicker normals that don’t curl up as much.
