bracelet not sticking with tape

Im making my first alpha and im taping the strings to the table bcs i want it as flat as possible. How do you prevent the strings from sliding. No matter how careful i am with pulling the string wont stick

Make sure you are using multiple pieces of tape along the length of the strings as one bit won't be strong enough to keep them in place. Also try spreading out your base strings a bit before taping them down rather than having them all be gathered together in the middle if that makes sense

you could try a thin strip of duct tape as it is stronger than regular tape, however i rely on my clipboard for holding down my base strings. if you don't have one, you could use a bulldog clip and attach it to a sturdy board such as a book? 🙂
