Why do the pictures on my alpha bracelets get messed up?

I’m working on an alpha pattern of a pb&j cow, and the first part of the pattern is so elongated and warped. Does anyone have any solutions on how to fix this? (P.s. I use the straight edge technique and the flat alpha teqnique is that makes a difference.)

hi! sometimes the knots that that are used for color switches can be slightly bigger than just the normal ones. this might not be the problem but if it is then you can try experimenting with the angle you tie your knots with

Try pushing up each row with a ruler after knotting it. It's common for alphas to appear a little elongated. You could also knot a little looser or use thicker base strings.
