Buying online can be so hard because it's hard to know sizes, feel, and how they'll work with other thread.

I'm looking at the Lizbeth brand, and wondering if anyone has experience using it with friendship bracelets? I want some variegated string, but it's hard to find colors I really like, but they have some great ones. There's one I like in particular that says it's size 80 tatting thread. Does this seem like something that could work paired with DMC thread?

Or what about sashiko thread? It seems like it's just tightly wrapped threads so it can't be separated like traditional embroidery thread, but I'm not sure if that's the only difference.

Are there other alternatives you guys know of? I know the Alize forever yarn seems to work, but it's hard to get in America and I don't want to wait a very long time for shipping if possible. I'd really like variegated colors or threads with sparkle, though

As for multicolor threads, have you tried etsy? There are sellers on there that purchase floss from other countries and sell it on etsy. Cosmo Seasons is my favorite!
