I'd like to make some bracelets similar to those in the below etsy listing:https://www.etsy.com/listing/817637921/lgbt-bracelet-gay-bisexual-asexual-non However, I do not recognise the technique used before and after the flags - is this simply a thinner alpha or something else? I'd be grateful for any help 🙂 |

hi, I think it's just like a very thin alpha, but I'm not sure

It might be a very small alpha, or it could also be a variegated pattern (tutorial on how to do that: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/94_variegated-spiral-bracelet/). It's kind of difficult to tell since the picture quality reduces so much when I try to zoom in to see the details, lol.

Looks like regular very thin alphas. For some the shaped alpha technique was used (the band is thinner than the flag in the intersex bracelet, check out the video on the shaped frog alpha to learn how it's done). The straight edges technique hasn't been used in these which gives the edges the structure you can see in the photo.

@halokiwi i already figured that they were shaped alphas (don't worry, i have been doing this for a minute 😉) but i hadn't thought of that - i've only ever used the flat alpha technique! thank you so much 😄

I'm not sure, if the flat alpha technique has been used or not.The straight edges technique and the flat alpha technique can be used independently from each other, but I noticed before that people mix them up, probably because they were both introduced in the same video by MashaKnots. |
