How are macrame and friendship bracelet knots related?

Can anyone point me to a tutorial that explains macrame and friendship knots - which are the same and which are different, if any? I find it very irritating that macrame tutorials just play music and show you a pair of hands knotting. Is there anyone who makes videos like Marsha Knots, who explains in detail what they are doing and why? |

This tutorial includes a few knots that are also used in macrame: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/153_advanced-knots-tutorial/The square knots as well as the upside down knot are macrame knots. I have made a plant hanger using this tutorial: https://heylilahey.com/en/macrame-plant-hanger-tutorial/ It shows you how all the knots that are used in it are made. But I knew the knots beforehand from a book, so I'm not 100%, if it's possible to do this from the tutorial alone.
