what do you mean by this? is it because it’s an odd number of strings? are you making a bracelet, bookmark etc.? give me more details so i can help!!

this is an alpha so i recommend taping your base strings down next to each other then just start knotting your first row with the background color. continue the bracelet until finished. always save the ties until after i have made the pattern! : )

i would suggest you just start the bracelet with a few inches of leftover string in the top. when you finish, just do some braided ties
