gaps between knots on normal bracelets

When I make knots on a normal bracelet there always seem to be gaps between them making it look quite messy

Make sure you always pull the first half of the knot all the way up before making the second half of the knot. The first half of the knot determines its placement, the second half secures it in place. Pay attention so the first half of the knot does not slide down before you have made the second half.
