I usually love satin or polyester thread because it’s softer. Dmc cotton thread is nice to. I found some really nice products today that are at hobby lobby and online. One is glow in the dark tie dye kit. https://www.hobbylobby.com/Wearable-Art/Paints-Dyes-Adhesives/Dyes/Glow-In-The-Dark-Tie-Dye-Kit/p/81026779 And the other is a bracelet board. https://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Kids-Crafts-Activities/Crafts/Friendship-Braiding-Board/p/80853036 The Bracelet board is nice but needs a coat of something on the dividers to really grip the string like my foam board does. I’d take any suggestions to modify this product somehow. It does keep the strands separated somewhat though and you could keep excess string on a bobbin for larger projects that need more string. |

Maybe it won't solve the problem, but i use washi tape to hold my strings down on a clipboard. I like the washi tape because it's easy to stick and "unstick" and doesn't damage the board !

The board I got is made specifically for friendship bracelets. It works ok. But doesn’t grip like my gonads board. The tie dye kit was a bust too, especially since I was looking for glow thread. If anyone knows where I can get it let me know. Might just resort to fabric paint or something if I can’t find a local retailer.
