Holes on normal bracelets

So whenever I make a normal pattern I have holes in between my knots.How do I avoid this from happening?

Make sure to pull your first half of the knot all the way up and make sure it doesn’t move when thing the second half of the knot.

Make sure you aren’t tying your knots too tight or too loose. Your knots should be tied close together and tied with the same tension.
