how do I add friends?

I just can't figure out how to add friends, do I have to level up or something?

I think you can add friends once you are advanced but I'm not 100% sure. To check, go to another user's profile and there should be a button in the top right that says add friend. You then have to wait for that user to either accept or decline your friend request. If there's not a button then I am probably mistaken and you might need to level up one more time
