hello, I wanna make an apha bracelet with 24 stings but i wanna add a loop at the top so I have to add 2 strings to make it even. I want to make the leading string of the loop different colour than the bracelet one. So the question is can i make the leading string from the loop into a base sting in the bracelet so that the pattern of it would be in the middle and not slightly to the right/left because of the uneven base stings (25)?

no your leading string is separate from your base strings. your base strings do not knot

If I understand you correctly, yes, you can use string to knot the loop that you afterwards use as base string.

If I understood you well, your bracelet has 24 strings then you have 23 base strings, what you can actually do is subtract 1 and divide per 2 then you should cut 11 strings 1 meter long per example (one of your base strings should be a bit longer since you want a different color loop, different than the leading string). Now let's say you have your leading string on a bobbin, put it together with the other base strings (actually 1m) so the ends match then you fold them in half (your leading string still on the bobbin), find the half way point, place it on your workstation and do the loop with one of your base strings that should be actually a bit longer than the others. So, you do your loop and start the pattern and now you will have 11 base strings plus one (a slice of the leading string) = 23 base strings + leading string.
