Frustrating, but when I try and bring up the alpha patterns on this website they continually pop up a message saying it has become unresponsive. I do not have app as I am on Android. 🤨 Any issue or fixes or is it on my end?Cheer Rakelle |

Are these very big patterns? Does your phone have general issues with unresponsiveness and slowness or just when it comes to braceletbook?

Yes, largest patterns. No, I have never had slowness or unresponsive messages before, but yes it only happens on the braceletbook.com website. Might be due to pattern size. |

Hello @Rakelle 😊 I just wanted to say that if you want someone to see your message then you should @ them like I've done above😊 maybe you should @ halokiwi?

@halokiwi I’ve experienced similar situations when loading very large alpha patterns (e.g. that pattern with a landscape spilling out of a camera) when loading the website on the Chrome browser on a device (like a phone or tablet). It works fine when on a laptop/computer though, so it may be a mobile device related problem.

Hey everyone! 🙂 I'm really sorry to hear that some of you are having issues with loading big patterns, but I'm afraid there isn't much we can do about it. We're using SVGs as the image format for our patterns, because it has a lot of advantages over raster formats. It's vector, which means it looks nice and sharp on displays with any pixel density, the size of the files is way lower than if we were using raster graphics (so it gets downloaded a lot faster and doesn't consume so much traffic), and there's also some pretty useful features which we wouldn't be able to make otherwise, like for example highlighting a single string and hiding the other ones when clicking on it.The downside of vector graphics is that it has to be rendered on the client devices and for bigger patterns it could take a bit more than your browser wants to wait for. The issue is not present on a laptop because it has a faster processor and it renders the image a lot quicker. I tried it just now on my iPhone and also on a newer Android device and am not seeing the issue, so I suppose the problem doesn't appear on newer (faster) mobile devices. Did you try using a different web browser? I would suggest trying out Google Chrome for example. I really hope this helps! 🙂 |
