How to do shaped alphas

Hii! i see these cute new alphas that end up having like a circle in the middle how would i go about doing that??

It's the same idea as doing any shaped alpha! There are lots of tutorials online, like this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=514N9owtKRA

A good example of a shaped alpha is #92753. Instead of adding the white knots on the sides, you tie the last knot of the row around all of the strings that would have a white knot (e.g. at the end of the first row, you'd tie a blue knot over the last 4 strings. When you start the next row, you'd tie a blue knot over the first 3 strings to make the first knot.

To make a hole in the middle of an alpha, you can do this technique in the middle of the bracelet.


An alternative is the technique in this video where you make the loop from the base strings.

I think this second technique is the method that is preferred by people who make bookmarks.
