So yeah the title asks my question, I'm relatively new to making bracelets and they keep curving to one side, is that Normal?? Is that a mistake?

It's normal especially, if there are lots of knots of one type like for example in a candystripe, but you can avoid it. Try to knot consistently and not pull the bracelet to the sides too much while knotting. You can also try using the straight edges technique. There are tutorials on it on here and on youtube.

I have that too. I notice that my tighter knotted bracelets tend to curve to one side. Don’t seem to have that problem if I loosen my knots, but I don’t like that either. Haven’t found another solution so far. Tried the straight edges technique.

It's mostly a matter of practice and making sure your knot tension is even, but even so, normal bracelets almost always curve slightly at the edges. As someone else said, if you want super straight normal bracelets you can try the straight edges technique. Also if you use tape to stick down your bracelet when you make it, it might be worth adding more tape as you go along, so you're not warping the bracelet. Hope that makes sense and good luck!

I'd say, knot as close as you can to your tape/clip/whatever you're holding your bracelet project down with. It helps a lot.

yess, its normal. but there is something you can do about it! the problem is usually that you tie the knots to tight and it curves. i hope this helped!!!!! 😘
