Hey! My forwards knots come out nice, neat, and straight, but my backward ones always come out messy, uneven, and terrible no matter what I do. I set my bracelet as my profile picture so that people can see what I mean. I've tried making tighter knots, looser knots, etc but it just doesn't seem to work at all! Someone please help me!!

Maybe try making a candy stripe bracelet with only backward knots just to practice them.

^^ i agree! you could also try a chevron to help practice as well.

Also not actually sure but it kind of looks like you’re still doing forward knots and then the string just has to go over to go to the next string to knot on. Maybe double check by watching a tutorial or something and see if that helps at all.

you have to practice!! maybe try doing a chevron or a candystripe that only has backward knots and it wouldnt be a bad idea to check that you're doing the knot correctly

try to make tightness of each knot equal and that should help a bit but mainly just practice and i’m sure you’ll improve!

It doesn’t quite look like you are doing those backward knots correctly. Make sure you are focusing on the technique when you are knotting. Focus on making the backwards 4. Good news is that those forward knots look great!

Try a diamond pattern. Or you could try a Chinese staircase with only backward knots it also take time to know how tight or loose to make your knots. |
