How do you change the colors on a pattern?

I am using bracelet book on my phone. I can’t figure out how to change the colors of the pattern for the bracelet Can you please tell me how to do that? |

If you go to the pattern under where it says "rate pattern" there is an orange button called 'add a variation" which allows you to change the colors.
