How do you do flat/straight ends on alphas?

Can anyone help me find a tutorial for that style of ending or explain to me how to do it? |

From what I can see this method of ending is the same as what alot of people use to end keychains. Kinsey b has a tutorial on making keychains and she shows how to create this type of end at around 7:50https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LkZSrkJykE |
