every time i do alphas, they always kind of look 3d if that makes sense. i've heard that u have to use the same string brand or texture and i do that and it still doesn't work. also my alphas always curve and curl but i don't know if that is normal or not so can someone lmk. basically, my alphas arent flat and i would appreciate some tricks and tips. thank you.

have you watched a video about the flat alpha technique? also make sure that your knot tension is the same.

the flat alpha technique is best for making sure it stays flat, also maybe you’re tying your knots really tightly?

I would try using the flat alpha technique! Masha Knots has a great video on it. As for the curling, I would try flattening it. You can get the bracelet wet and then weigh it down with something like a heavy textbook, or wear/use it until it becomes looser and floppy, or try ironing it like a shirt.

Hi, here is a helpful video for a flat alpha technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-TNzvNGxAMAnd don't worry! if you have only just started alphas and are moving onto big patterns, try starting with simple little alphas like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2xlji7d5Lk start with simple patterns. and dont forget to not give up! bracelet making can be frustrating but you got this! 😊 |
