When patterns are declined, the moderator who declined it leaves a note with the reason that it was declined. There may be a mistake in the pattern, it may be too similar to (or the same as) other patterns, it may be a pattern type that isn't usually accepted anymore (like simple words or candy stripes), etc. If you go to the "Create Patterns" part of the website and click on the pattern that was declined, you'll see a message on the top of the page that will let you know why your patterns were declined.

The moderators decline patterns for a reason and they should write a decline message. This message will often be on your design when you click on it. The message will tell you what you need to fix in order for the pattern to be accepted.

If you can't figure it out just from the decline message, you could put a question in the review notes or message the moderator who declined it (in this case you should describe your pattern to them because we review lots of patterns in a day)
