Walmart and Michaels has cheap embroidery floss packs. I am not huge on Prism brand quality though.

The string I use is a 122 pack from amazon for $11.99. It's amazing quality and has so many different colors. The colors also don't bleed when you get it wet. Though after a few weeks of wearing the colors start to dull down. Other string I use is from Walmart and Michaels. Hope this helped🙂

@Kiramae has the color fading issue happened to you with any other string? I made a bracelet with DMC about a month or so ago, and after three weeks of daily wear out in the sun, the colors are definitely faded. If you know a brand that doesn't fade, I'd love to hear about it

@feiwafeiwa I just got my string from Walmart and Michaels a few days ago so i haven't had a chance to see if it fades but I can update you in a few weeks. With the fading string I talked about in my other response it's not very severe so it doesn't bother me, but if you'd like to try it out for yourself, I can send the link.

@feiwafeiwa I don't know which DMC strings you use but I personnally use their 6 strand embroidery thread (not the ones bought in bulk, the ones that you buy in small packages or individually). I had struggle with colors fading in the sun so I tested DMC strings by putting many different colors in the sun on my room's window for an entire summer and the only one that had a noticeable difference was a very flashy pink (I don't remember exactly but similair to color 3705). I hope this helps 🙂
