i'm completely new to this stuff so i don't expect to be incredible immediately but even when trying like beginner patterns it just looks... nothing like it like idk what i'm doing am i doing it too loose or too tight?? i feel like i'm doing all the knots perfectly fine so idk why it's That bad 😭

I have not seen any of your bracelets, so I cannot really say what it is that you are doing wrong. It might be any of the things you suggested or something else.I can just tell you that it always takes some time in the beginning to get the hang of it. For this reason I recommend to start out with very simple patterns like patters #1 or #2. Those are really good to practice your forwards (and backwards) knots. Once you have mastered those, you can continue to something more complex. It is not really important, if you tie tight or loose. What matters, is that you tie consistently. |

Often, first bracelets don't look great at all, and typically don't clearly resemble the pattern. Even if you are doing the knots correctly, it is difficult finding the correct tension and pull the knots close enough to the previous ones that it looks exactly like the pattern. Just keep practicing and working on other beginner patterns, and after you complete a few more bracelets your technique will get better

Just keep practicing! After a lot of tries you kind of start to figure out little tricks to making your creations look better.
