Hi! I was looking at the pattern from the title (#84416) and it says 42 base strings needed, but the photo of the pattern is flipped another way. I see all the photos have them as wall hangings, how did they fli/p the pattern? And if I wanted to do it like the photos, how many strings should I have? 😭 😭 😭

The pattern says the dimension are 42x55, so if you wanted to flip it the other way you would have 55 base strings. To flip the pattern I would take a screenshot of it and rotate the image. The arrows wouldn’t change, but if it would help, you could download an editing/art app (I use IbisPaint X, it’s free) to mark off each row as you complete it.

Hi, on alphas I don’t use the diagram with the knot directions, I just use the pixel art bc I know which way to go. I would suggest this bc that is the way the pixel art is already oriented. (55 base strings)
