HI I really love how my normal patterns are turning out. I can't seem to get alphas right, any tips? Also how exactly do you do alphas?

For alphas you have base strings and the knotting (or leading) string. The base strings are just to tie knots on and you donโt use them to knot. The knotting string is what you use to knot and you can change colors by putting the old string under all the base strings and then bringing in the new string where you want that color and then switch back when youโre done. The knots go horizontally instead of diagonally so when you see the arrows pointing left and right they just tell you to do either a forward or backward knot. There are also several YouTube videos such as mashaknots that show you how to make alphas if you want a visual guide.
