almost every time I make a bracelet the edges of it are always wavy and not straight 😢 i tried starting a new bracelet and not pulling the strings as tight and then its too loose.

on every edge knot, do a forward-backward or backward-forward knot (depending on which direction you're switching to) instead!

Yes, the straight edges technique works for both normals and alphas. For most normals, you have to add an extra string on the left and the right to make it work.

biggest thing is making sure knots are super tight and if they appear to be to far down on the string using your fingernail or a ruler sliding the knot up the string can be helpful. to learn how to do that i recommend trying a vertical wave bracelet
