Just like the title says, whenever I make a pattern it seems that the bottom of it is getting wider than the top, so instead of a rectangular shape it's more of an upside down cup🥤, or pear ig

Is this with alphas or normals?

With alphas it may just be that it’s widening because of the increase of colors, I would recommend tightening your knots during color switches and use the flat alpha method

For normals it may just be that you are unconsciously loosening your knots as you go down the pattern, just work on ensuring you have the same tension the entire time

Make sure to fixate your bracelet not only on the upper end. For me the widening (or other weired things) happens if the bracelet moves to much while knotting.

@Lulu_Ninja it's alphas, I already do the flat alpha technique and the color switches were already started at the beginning
