base strings in alpha affect the improvement of nodes?And what kind of string is better to use as a base string? |

Hey! I typically just use my embroidery floss as my base strings, but I also use really thin yarn (like weight 1 or the one used to make socks). But the type of base string that you use typically doesn't really affect how the knots turn out so you can just use whatever you have on hand.

Really any old embroidery floss will work! i would especially recommend DMC which can be found at any craft store and amazon. Hope this helps!

i think embroidery floss works great, it’s not too thin where it breaks and frays but not too thick where it makes it looks weird!

Embroidery floss. DO NOT use those friendship thread things for kids, it is slippery and cheaters holes
