I'm not doing alpha patterns just regular ones like chevron based. I'm doing the diamond pattern with chevrons and inverse chevrons. the pattern is #9825. my diamonds in particular always kind of make a groove like they go in and the bracelet is not flat. what should I do?

Hi @mayamarino 🙂

Just to make sure I'm understanding what you're saying; Is your bracelet is not flat when you lay it on a flat surface like a table? Can you explain what you mean by "groove" a bit more?

Or does the bracelet curve to one side and isn't a straight line?

you may be pulling your knots tight at different consistencies. i would recommend loosening up your knots. as for the alphas, masha knots has a really good flat alpha tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YVFAX9sacw&list=RDCMUCg2yB7xVVRBDOxY3l_ur5MA&start_radio=1&rv=_YVFAX9sacw&t=0
hope this helps!

Yes like @EMMAkuhn explained, it is very possible that if you tie your knots all the same tightness, your bracelet might lay flatter 🙂

Tight knots make your knots smaller and closer together, resulting in a stiffer bracelet.

Loose knots make your knots bigger and further apart, resulting in a more fluid bracelet.

I personally like more tight knots, but sometimes if you pull one knot in particular too tightly, it could also create a groove. Consistency is key. I hope this helps you 🙂 @mayamarino
