So my bracelets come out good and everything but my alpha patterns tend to like wave and bump up and down even if there aren’t frequent color switches (You can look at my photos for example if you are confused but i am gonna post a good example of it soon)

Hey! From looking at your pictures it seems like the main problem may just be that you are knotting too tightly, so maybe try loosening up your knots. Another thing that may help would be to take your time after each row is completed to straighten out and loosen up the rows to make sure they are all even. This should stop it from curving/being bumpy.

the same thing happens to me except im not doing alpha patterns just regular ones like chevron based. like im doing the diamond pattern with chevrons and inverse chevrons. the pattern is #9825. my diamonds in particular always kind of make a groove like they go in and the bracelet is not flat. what should i do? I tend to tie my knots pretty tight so should i try not doing that?

@mayamarino the first knot may be what “tight” but the second one doesn’t 👍

in general, alphas do need loser knots than normals, but also make sure that all of your thread is the same brand. it doesn't matter much for normals, but some brands are thicker than others, and it can make them pull out of alignment. hope this helps 💕
