photo size lower limit?

recently I tried to submit a photo, but it was rejected because the image was too small. so what is the resolution considered to be "too small"? i want to make sure that in the future my photos are satisfactory.

I think the dimensions that trigger the too small warning for us mods are anything lower than 1024x1024 or something similar
