can i still submit a photo if i changed the pattern a bit?

I made normal pattern #123650 but changed it so that the knots inside the center squares always cross in the same direction, instead of switching back and forth. Which means that some of the squares are orange, instead of them being all blue, and it looks more like a twist than a zigzag. is this change large enough that it cannot be considered the same pattern and thus I cannot post the photo there? or is it fine?

Yes, that should be alright, as long as there is no pattern more similar to what you have knotted. I recommend checking out patterns with the same amount of strings by this user that were posted around the same time to see, if there is anything more similar.
