Where to start for a first alpha( I have never made or attempted one before)

I suggest you start simple, one of my first alphas was a keychain. They’re quite simple and shorter patterns.

Watch a tutorial by Masha knots and make a name bracelet (that’s how I started). Good luck! I know you can do it!

i just started alphas because honestly masha knots videos confused me and i couldnt find any very simple tutorials. i came across this tutorial by alex's innovations and it makes alphas so straightforward. it's called the beginner's guide to alphas and around 14 minutes it explains how to switch colors which is what i never understood. SO SO HELPFUL highly recommend 🙂

I personally just did my first alpha with only 2 colors and a completely different color for base strings, I made a bracelet as those were what I was familiar too! If you have any more questions feel free to ask! also here is my first alpha pattern for reference #19170 |
