No it means how many knots are made.Normal pattern: for example #18 is 6x6. There are 6 knots vertically and 6 knots horizontally #25381 is 5x40. That means you have 5 knots horizontally and 40 knots vertically, which also means you have 40 rows. For alpha patterns it's easier since you have a all knots aligned. so 4x4 means you have 4 knots in each row (4 knots horizontally )and 4 rows (4 knots vertically) i hope this will help you |
