So I decided to start my dmc collection and I also enjoy wrapping the thread on bobbins. I found out that you can use a bobbin winder to wind the thread. Should I use the dmc bobbin winder? Has anyone uses it here and what’s your experience with it? Would I need to use dmc bobbins for the winder as well? Also what box organizer should I use? I haven’t had any luck finding clear organizing boxes nor do I really know where to get them. If there’s other bobbins winders please recommend them. Thanks :]

@Xxbl00dyxX Hey, I think any bobbins would work just fine for the winder. For storage I use clear plastic jewelry storage cases and they work great. They are also cheap. You can get the clear plastic jewelry organizers at Hobby Lobby or Amazon. I would recommend going to Hobby Lobby and look at their selection before going to Amazon.

i never use a bobbin winder but i enjoy wrapping the string around bobbins, i find it therapeutic lol. like @agb7775 said just try amazon, sometimes off-brand string comes in clear cases. thsts what i use, but amazon is awesome, i use it for everything

I personally rather use my hands because winding bobbins is a pass time for me. However, like said previously any bobbin should work. Also, I know you didn’t ask but I recommend either getting the DMC labels the brand sells to put the numbers on or cut around the numbers on the plastic the thread comes in and tape it on the bobbin. It’s time consuming but personally I find it to look better. On the thread boxes, any ones that I’ve found have been at craft stores and are normally SUPER pricey. I recommend jewelry boxes or going on Amazon. There are lots of little “hobby” boxes that could work. Bestest of luck! 🙂
