How to start a alpha?

Hey, I have not done an alpha before and I am trying to get information about it before I do one. I am wondering how to start an alpha. Videos I watch people start the by taping down the individual base colors together but I was wondering when do you knot all those strings together? Could anyone answer my question or just tell me what you do and , what you think works best for you?THANK YOU!!! 🙂 |

For both normals and alphas, if I don't do a loop, I usually leave some string for the ties and then make one big knot with the strings or base strings. This knot makes it easy to clip everything down without slipping out. After this knot I do a triangle start. Once I'm done with the bracelet, I undo the big knot from the beginning and braid or twist my ties.
