How long to cut strings for 16 string bracelet?

Hey! I usually fold my strings in half so when I do a 12 string bracelet I usually cut about 80 inches, wondering how long the strings should be for a 16 string bracelet or if it should be the same? Thanks in advance 🙂

In general you will need the same string length, no matter if you knot a bracelet with 12 or 16 strings. The only thing you have to consider is, if there is a string you make less or more knots with than average. This string will need to be shorter or longer.

The string should be the same length if the pattern is the same length. However if the pattern is not the same length the strings should be longer assuming the pattern is longer. For 16 strings cut 8 and fold it in half.

I would do about 15 feet and fold it in half

I normally due my wingspan and fold in half. That always works for me and I’ve never came out to be short on thread that way. I rather have too much string than not enough! Plus, I just use my cuttings on rag rug bracelets! 🙂
