Every time I start a new pattern and it gets going I’m noticing that instead of my edges being straight they are curvy and almost making a sort of wavey shaped pattern on the sides. Like I mean the edges are not straight at all they keep curving as the bracelet progresses and I don’t mean like going in a slighted line direction. I mean the edges are becoming almost circular and bunching up on the sides. Please if anyone has had this problem or knows what to do help me out here I am begging you !!!! This is so frustrating .

It almost looks scalloped like curvy and wavey at the same time on the edges not straight like most bracelets

It like dips in and out on the sides, instead of being a straight line

This is common in bracelets where there are lots of knots in one direction and then lots of knots in the other direction.
Make sure that you don't pull the bracelet to the right or the left while knotting but try to pull it straight down.
In addition to that, you can also use the straight edges technique, which can help a little but definitely isn't a fix-all

Thank you so much for responding. I will definitely check out that link for the straight edge technique. Do you think it matters how you knot the knot like should I be pulling straight up and not being persuaded to pull to the side?

I'm not sure actually. I think what matters most is that you don't pull the bracelet as a whole to the side, of course you need to pull the individual strings you're knotting with to the side. And that you place the knot in the center of the two knots above it, idk if that makes sense.

(for someone to get a notification for when you are replying to them in the forum, you need to tag them btw. To do that you just write @ and their username like this @halokiwi)

I've found that pulling my knots vertically upwards rather than to a specific side has helped some (though, of course, it cannot guaranty that everything will be straight; even with the straight edges technique). Sometimes it's just the way with specific patterns.

Knot tension also contributes. It helps to be consistently even in your knotting tension. If you're not a super tight knotter, your looser knots also give you some room to manoeuvre knots around if they go too much to one side or the other.
