I'm kind of confused about why keywords like ombre, rainbow, and gradient are acceptable because I understand that normal colors like yellow, pink, blue, purple, etc. aren't accepted because variations may not use those colors, but someone could make a pattern and use the keyword ombre and someone else could make a variation of that pattern that is not ombre, so I was wondering why those keywords are acceptable.

Not every pattern has a structure that can be knotted as a gradient, but if the original pattern has a gradient in it, it can definitely be knotted as a gradient, no matter if a variation doesn't have a gradient.

For a pattern that for example only has two colours originally, there might not be the possibility to add a variation that can be knotted as a gradient.

When it comes to individual colours, any pattern can be knotted using that individual colour. It does not really make sense to differentiate between patterns that can be knotted with a certain colour and that can't, because any pattern can be knotted using that colour.

For the keyword "rainbow" it implies that the pattern can be knotted using a gradient of usually 6 colours or that it portrays an actual rainbow.
