To my knowledge, you don't gain anything extra by have a higher rank. It just means that you have been on Bracelet book for quite a while and have been active enough in the community to gain that rank.

Also, if you have a lower rank, there is a minimum for the number of stars you can rate a pattern. For example, if you are beginner, you can only rate patterns 5 stars, once you are advanced you can rate them 4 or 5 stars, and so on. As other people mentioned, you have to be at least a skiller to use the chat, and you can add more variations. Having a lower rank probably means you either are very new, you aren't very active, or you haven't done much for the community (like you have added very few or no patterns, variations, photos, etc.) I hope that this is helpful!

@SpringGirl you rank up by being active on braceletbook. Most things you do on here, count towards ranking up. You just have to be patient. The more active you are and the more valuable your actions are, the faster you'll rank up 😄
