Thanks for stoping by, I am kind of in a hurry, well I am but I would like to know how long these 10 base strings should be before I cut them which will be 5 strings then you fold them in half, to create ten this is for Pattern #34178 which is 100 rows should I make each of the 5 strings a wings spands length before they are folded in half any help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Basestrings always need to be the length of what you are knotting (in your case double the length) plus some extra for loops and ties.100 rows for me would be almost 20cm. That means I'd cut the strings 2x20 + 20(as the extra for loops and ties) = 60 cm each. 100 rows are definitely too long for a bracelet. Personally I take around 85 rows. So if you want to make a bracelet, you just need your wrist circumference twice and then some extra for loops and ties. |
