Does anyone have 2 color alpha suggestions ? For a new alpha maker?

When you go to "patterns", you can set the type to alpha and the amount of colours to 2 and you'll find many nice patterns. I also recommend to pick a low number for the amount of strings.

You can filter the results to alphas and 2 colors and even the size! Then you can choose!

@fredz there are several methods for making alphas:-two tone alpha technique: can be used for alphas with just two colours and some alphas with more colours, works for the pattern you mentioned, very beginner-friendly https://youtu.be/dGdNoeyilaU -"regular" alpha technique: can be used for any alpha pattern https://youtu.be/ePr81hbvdjE -flat alpha technique: can be used for any alpha pattern, makes the end result look nicer, would recommend this technique over the regular alpha technique https://youtu.be/_YVFAX9sacw -clean back alpha technique: can be used on any alpha pattern, but works best with small amount of colours, based on the flat alpha technique, more advanced, no loose strings on the back, perfect for keychains https://youtu.be/NLCUwVXscG0 |

Okay, 👍 ill check them out.🤔 I'm confused about which color I'm supposed to start with, given I can see two at once in some of these patterns. |

@fredz for the two tone alpha technique, you make all base strings one of these colours and make the leading string the other colour. Then whenever you need a knot of the colour of the leading string, you knot with the leading string onto the base string and if you need a knot of the colour of the base string, you knot with the base string onto the leading string.

@fredz I recommend using the regular alpha technique for patterns like the ones you were saying since you use a lot of both colors. Even better, you can use the flat and or clean back alpha technique
