I usually cut strings really slow and idk how to do it faster and more precise bc everytime I cut them a bit faster i can end up with 2-3 cm more or less by mistake... I fold the strings and than cut them all together but I find it difficult for me🙁

I can't talk much about precise because I basically never measure my strings with a ruler, but my method of choice for measuring string when I'm cutting it is to use my body. I mostly cut strings the length from my fingertips of one hand to the opposite sholder.

to do it “faster”, what i do is for strings that i make for all like the same length—so like if im making a loop, i’ll cut the string i made for that one separately—is i hold them by all the ends and then pull all the skeins or bobbins at once to the desired length and then cut them all at once. the reason why it’s “faster” in quotes is bc they usually get tangled and i have to untangle them. but if u want to untangle them after starting the bracelet, then yea it can be somewhat quicker

I know this is an older post and you probably have found a way to do it but here’s what I do. When I first started making bracelets I was making them for my family consistently so what I did was cut a string for each one of them and labeled it so I knew which string would be able to make my bracelets as long as they needed. I took a piece of string and measured it out as long as needed and then took some washi tape to seal one end. After that I would measure each string for a bracelet against the string with the washi tape so that way they were more consistent in length. Of course it’s not super fast but it helped me cut down on the amount of unused string I had when I finished.
