i know this is kind of a long shot, but i was So Close to being done with a huge wall hanging pattern i’ve been working on and the only thing i had left to do was to put some text on it, and still new to the site i clicked “write alpha” thinking it would help me with font, but it overwrote my pattern and now it’s gone!! is there any way for me to get it back?

There indeed isn't a way to get it back. "write alpha" only generates simple word patterns.

Also, to avoid a similar incident in the future, try to hit 'save' periodically when creating a new pattern.
