Segment knotting is when you knot in segments instead of doing row by row you knot in sections. Most people will segment knot because it’s faster or easier to keep track of.

@Chillq Segment knotting is basically knotting by finding a triangle in the pattern and knotting onto the bits of thread that stick out in between the triangle. I'm sorry if this doesn't explain it very well, I tried my best.

segment knottin only works on normals, there isn’t a way to do it for alphas

It only works on normals. If you’ve made a chevron before you probably segment knotted it without knowing
