I'm making pattern #112303 as a hair tie it needs to be about 24" with 1 tie the loop is on other end.. any help world be great

That's a bit difficult to estimate. You want to knot something that is around 60cm. My bracelets are usually around 15cm. So I would say you probably need around four times the length you usually need but also a little less than that because you only have to account for the ties once and not four times.

I'm not sure on your experience level not that it makes a big difference, but if you cut your strings to short mid-bracelet, you can add more in Masha knots @Racoon has a video on it. adding in string in a normal is the same as in an alpha so if you've made an alpha, you should be nice and comfortable doing this.
