So, I have a problem. I have like 10 bracelets that I have started but not finished. I lose my interest and move on to a different pattern. I also have just a dumb random question: how long should a bracelet take because it feels like it takes me ages to finish one (part of the reason I lose interest) please help me!!!

I definitely think you shouldn't force yourself. One way that works for me is looking at pictures of others bracelets and going through my Loves and To do lists. You could also set a goal as to how many rows or sections you will complete at a time, like 5 or 10 rows in a day, whatever is good with you.

Since you already have 10 bracelets, you could cycle through them one at a time. Make some progress in one bracelet, and when you get bored move onto the next one and then next one and so on. That way you make progress in a different pattern each time. Or you could start with a small pattern, finish it and then move onto another one. It is quite motivating to finish something😊

As for how long it takes, it depends on the pattern and also on the mood imo. It can take a day or a few days to a week or few weeks. Don't stress out too much if it takes longer. I get it can be demotivating when things take too long and some patterns are quite large and intimidating (for me it's anything beyond 30 strings and 50 rows), but patient is key.

All that being said, you can totally abandon a bracelet if you really don't want to make it be it because the pattern or anything else, there's nothing wrong with it.

@aiden707 said it all! Here are some other things that help me:

😍looking at all of my completed bracelets or favorite completed projects
😋Make a super small pattern, like a keychain! It allows you to feel like you accomplished something and gives ambition(at least in my experience)
😒Try and finish one of the projects you gave up on. Pick the eaisest one or one that you are closest to finishing. It might give you a motivation boost!
😲Check out other people’s completed projects! This typically inspires me, but it can sometimes discourage some people, so be cautionary of this tip.
Also, these are just things that I have found work for me! They might not work for everyone, but I’m just sharing my experiences.

As for how long a project takes, it totally depends. Of course, wallhangings take a while. They intimidate me, so I stay away from them, but I will make one someday! Keychains I usually finish in less than a day. For normal bracelets, they take me a day or two if I am constantly working on them. But, you should always take breaks and not constantly work on your projects!! That’s a terrible habit I have that I really need to work on lol
(BY THE WAY, this all totally depends on the smount of strings or color changes!! I typically stick to projects with less than 20 strings because I am impatient.)

Alphas take me a lot longer than normals. I made an alpha bookmark that took me two weeks because i started losing motivation.
Everybody is different with their bracelet making time! Don’t even worry about it 😊
Hope this helps!

You need to find a pattern that is not to easy but not to hard. You have to find a pattern that you a motivated to do.
