Why do some patterns have a difficulty level there and others don’t?

those patterns are older, so i think they had a difficulty level, but then over time, they discontinued the difficulty part of the pattern. why, im not sure. but i think i might just be because after a while, it got too hard to judge and people were posting so many patterns that it would take up too much time to figure out the difficulty level.
