I made a bracelet with a teardrop loop and I started the pattern off were the v for the teardrop loop was but I’ve noticed others post pictures of bracelets with teardrop loops but they have the full pattern from the beginning. I already started mine so I will still post it but this is for future reference!

I think the "proper" way is to start with a v, but if you don't want to to that you could just bring your strings in the order that you see on top of the pattern and then start out by making all the knots of the first row instead of a shaped start. This way you'll probably use the teardrop shape.

Is this what you mean? Maybe you could give a pattern number where you saw a photo that uses this.

It’s pattern #25797 I started the v at the orange string I’ve done teardrop loops where I arrange them in the same color but that makes my bracelets have gaps for some reason

I looked at the photos you have posted and the teardrop loops on those look good and completely normal.

Could you maybe tell me which variation you are doing because there's no orange in the original pattern.

Personally I would make the teadrop loop at the first blue cross in the original pattern because the pattern naturally forms a v there.

if you mean like making the bracelet without “cutting” out the v you need to make for the teardrop loop, they’re not just making it straight. it’s just bc the pattern is so small that the v isn’t as distinct as when you make larger bracelets, so it looks sort of like you started making it straight across.

@halokiwi I made the variation by @knotstring I noticed that I started the v with the orange v at row 17 and I didn’t completely look at the rest if the pattern…I see what you mean though, I think I will remake it!
