Length of threads to use

Hello I am new to friendship bracelets and I wanted to know how to gauge the initial lengths of threads to work with ? Thanks

I usually use around 90 cm but lots of people also recommend 80 cm. If you make lots of knots with a string you might need more, if less then you would need less.

Usually around wingspan for normal patterns if you are folding them in half with a loop. If you want base strings for an alpha, normally about 2-3 feet would be good. Normal with twisted ties at the ends usually requires from the right hand to the left shoulder. Hope this helped 😊 @Love_Fox2

Honestly, it really depends on the length you want and the amount of strings. For example, a Chinese staircase with 4 strands I would do 1 ft. With a bracelet of 14-16 strands I would probably do about 2 feet on both sides after folded in half(4 ft or 48 in when not folded)With new patterns for a keychain (normals only) I will usually do about 18 in but it really just depends.
