Please help- Alpha Base Strings

I keep getting so frustrated because when I'm making triangle ends, my base strings slide out of the bracelet, henceforth ruining it. is there any way I can fix this?

It sounds like this is happening at the start of your bracelet? I would suggest tying a knot temporarily at the top until you've finished your triangle ends and perhaps even a couple of rows of your pattern.
